Paid to click sites are exactly what they say. Quite simply, you sign up for a free account, log in and check for new adverts every day, then you click on each ad as it becomes available, view it for 30 seconds or so, and hey presto! You get paid! Paid to Click - or free money programs as they are sometimes called - are an ideal option for anyone who doesn’t want to spend any more money to make money, and they particularly appeal to people who have already been burnt by so called “get rich quick” schemes in the past.
The principle behind PTC sites is simple: A group of advertisers pay the site owners a fee to advertise and in return the site members are paid a nominal amount (usually between 0.01c and 0.005c) to view the advertisements.
You won’t make a fortune individually with PTC programs, but it is entirely possible to earn between $500 and $1,000 (£300 - £650) a month if you can join and introduce others into at least 10 programs - and share in a percentage of their profits. And the good news is - there are several excellent free to join programs that allow you to promote multiple PTC sites under one umbrella meaning potentially more earnings for you. Not only this but these programs provide you with your own unique website, personalized marketing material and detailed advice about how best to promote your site.
Stacks of new PTC sites appear on a daily basis - but the sad news is that many of them don’t last much longer than a few months, giving the whole industry a bad name. You can soon find out how stable/reputable a PTC site is by doing a simple Google search and keying in the name of the program followed by the word “scam”. However the programs listed below have done most of the hard work for you by carefully researching all PTC sites prior to inclusion. Any site that doesn’t pay it’s members instantly, or shows signs of instability is not included.

FREE INTERNET MONEY
Free Internet Money is a relatively new program and is the brainchild of internet marketing expert Brian Barnhouse. It’s one of a number of programs included in the JPB Publications group. Brian recognizes the fact that not all new marketers have pots of money to invest and he specifically designed this program to show anyone starting with a budget of 0 how to make money online. The program is totally free to join and includes 15 Paid to Click programs - almost all of which have been online for a number of years and have proved themselves to be reliable. Brian has produced a series of step by step video guides showing you how to set up and work all of the PTC sites on a daily basis. You will have instant free access to these as soon as you become a member. From the members area you are supplied with your own personalized web site and a series of highly effective banners and splash pages. Because it is 100% free, you’ll find the program is extremely easy to promote through the safelists and traffic exchanges.

PTC ADVANTAGE
I’ve only recently come across this program - and I like the concept behind it. PTC Advantage is very similar to the other programs featured on this page in that it is a free downline building program, which enables members to join and earn from a number of stable PTC/PTR programs. Where it differs is that it gives members a detailed breakdown of how they can use their free money program earnings to move up a level by joining another free program called Escalating Biz. To get the most out of Escalating Biz you will need to consider joining at least one of the low cost MLM program featured in the members area. Although these programs do involve a monthly fee of $2 upwards, they ultimately have the potential to earn you much more serious cash than you will ever earn using PTC programs alone. You can of course still earn residual cash using and promoting PTC Advantage alone, but the option and the information is all there for when you feel ready to move to the next level.

MARKETING POND
This program has been online since March 2007 and has over 50,000 members worldwide. Marketing Pond is one of a number of online marketing sites owned by Valerie Underhill. I like Valerie’s honest, no nonsense approach - and the advice she has given both through the MP forum and via e mail has saved me getting my fingers burnt on more than one occasion! There are over 30 free sites you can join and promote through Marketing Pond, all of which have been reviewed in detail and broken down under different headings in the member’s area. If you take the time to join all 30+ programs and actively promote Marketing Pond on a daily basis, it is possible to build up to an income of $1,000 (£650) per month.

FREE MONEY TEAM
When you join Free Money Team you have the option of signing up to 9 PTC programs, so if you’re not looking at devoting too much time to your PTC activities, Free Money Team is probably the best option. In the members area you have access to your own personalized website, splash pages and a banner plus a dedicated page where you can recommend any one program of your choice exclusively to your referrals. FMT is one of four in a network of money making programs: Free Money Team, Free Traffic Team, GDI Income Team and Clickbank Money Team. The last two programs mentioned do involve monthly fees and are not connected to Paid to Click sites, but they are certainly worth investigating if you’re interested in developing your own network or affiliate marketing business.

One final point to note is that in order to get paid through the PTC sites you will need accounts with both Paypal and and Alertpay. If you’re not familiar with Alertpay, it is a payment processor which is now well recognized amongst internet marketers - and it is the preferred payment processor for many of the programs listed on this site. Before you can start transferring money received through Alertpay to your bank account, as a security measure you’ll need to go through a simple verification process which is explained in detail on their website.
